Introduction and Scope

Bombolo Biscotti is committed to conducting business with integrity, transparency, and respect for human rights and the environment. We recognize that our operations and sourcing activities, particularly cocoa and chocolate ingredients, can have direct and indirect impacts on people and ecosystems.

This policy establishes our commitment to:

• Identify and address human rights risks
• Identify and address environmental risks
• Promote ethical and responsible business conduct
• Implement due diligence across our supply chain
• Prevent, mitigate, and remediate adverse impacts

The Bombolo Biscotti Supplier Code of Conduct serves as the foundation of our partnership with all suppliers. Its purpose is to establish a shared understanding of our expectations, values, and commitment to responsible business practices. By following this Code, suppliers help ensure consistent compliance with legal requirements and Bombolo Biscotti standards, enabling us to work together in a reliable, ethical, and sustainable manner.

To uphold these expectations, Bombolo Biscotti requires all tiers of its suppliers, including manufacturers, contractors, partners, agents, distributors, consultants, and their respective subcontractors and supply-chain providers to comply with this Supplier Code. We expect suppliers to extend these standards throughout their own supply chains, including subsuppliers, raw-material providers, subcontractors, and any facilities involved in producing goods or services for Bombolo Biscotti.

It is the supplier’s responsibility to ensure compliance with both the intent and the requirements of this Supplier Code throughout their operations and supply chain. This may be achieved through effective communication, training, monitoring, and the implementation of appropriate management systems, policies, and procedures.

This Supplier Code is not exhaustive. Suppliers must use sound judgment to ensure responsible conduct in areas not explicitly addressed. Additionally, we expect suppliers to uphold the same high standards of integrity, fairness, and ethical behavior that guide Bombolo Biscotti’s own operations.

Labor and Human Rights

Human Rights

Suppliers must respect and uphold the human rights of all workers in every aspect of their operations. Suppliers must give particular attention to protecting individuals who may face heightened risks of vulnerability or marginalization. This includes women, young people, indigenous peoples, minorities, people with disabilities, and migrant or foreign workers. Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that these workers are treated fairly, protected from discrimination or exploitation, and able to work in conditions that support their safety, dignity, and well-being.

Child Labor

Suppliers must ensure that no form of child labor is used in any part of their operations. Under no circumstances may juvenile workers, defined as individuals under 18 years of age, perform night work or any hazardous tasks that expose them to undue physical, mental, or emotional risks or that compromise their educational or developmental needs.

Forced Labor

Suppliers must not use or enable the use of forced labor in any form. This includes involuntary, compulsory, indentured, bonded, slave, or human-trafficked labor. Suppliers must ensure that no worker is coerced to work through violence, intimidation, manipulation, debt, retention of identity documents, or threats of reporting individuals to immigration authorities. Worker movement must not be restricted in any way that limits personal freedom or autonomy.

Discrimination and Harassment

Suppliers must ensure that all employment decisions, including hiring, promotion, compensation, training, discipline, termination, and retirement, are made without discrimination. This includes discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity, national origin, age, disability, family or marital status, or genetic information, including family medical history.

Suppliers must treat every worker with dignity and respect and maintain a work environment free from bullying, intimidation, coercion, corporal punishment, or any other form of harassment. This includes physical, psychological, sexual, and verbal harassment. Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that all workers feel safe, supported, and able to perform their work without fear of mistreatment.

Quality, Health, Safety and Environment

Food Safety and Quality

All suppliers must meet or exceed and be able to demonstrate compliance with the food safety and quality assurance standards required by applicable laws and by Bombolo Biscotti. In addition, any suppliers and business partners involved in producing Bombolo Biscotti-branded products are required to uphold the full set of Bombolo Biscotti brand standards and requirements.

Health and Safety

Suppliers must provide all workers with a safe, clean, and healthy work environment that meets or exceeds all applicable health and safety laws, regulations, and industry standards. This includes supplying all legally required personal protective equipment and maintaining facilities in sanitary, hazard-free condition. When housing is provided, it must also be safe, sanitary, and fully compliant with relevant requirements.

Suppliers are responsible for implementing robust health and safety management practices across their operations. This includes conducting regular risk assessments, maintaining appropriate safety controls, and delivering job-specific safety training to prevent workplace accidents, hazards, illnesses, and injuries. Workers must be empowered to protect their own well-being. All workers, including those employed by subcontractors, must have the right to refuse unsafe work and to report unsafe or unhealthy conditions without fear of retaliation.

Sustainability & Environment

Suppliers must operate in an environmentally responsible manner and comply with all applicable national and local environmental laws and regulations. Bombolo Biscotti expects suppliers to manage their facilities in ways that actively monitor, control, and, where possible, reduce air emissions, water discharges, including wastewater and solid waste, the use of toxic substances, and the generation and disposal of hazardous waste.

We also expect suppliers to support Bombolo Biscotti’s long-term sustainability commitments. This includes minimizing environmental impact, improving operational efficiency, and contributing positively to the communities where we work and source. Suppliers should maintain practices that reflect responsible resource use, pollution prevention, and continuous improvement in environmental performance.

Management Practices

Confidential Information

Suppliers must protect all Bombolo Biscotti confidential and proprietary information, use it only for approved business purposes, and prevent any unauthorized disclosure. This includes agreements, pricing, financial information, product specifications, customer data, and any other non-public information.

Suppliers may not share Bombolo Biscotti’s confidential information with third parties without prior written consent. These obligations remain in effect even after the business relationship ends.

Suppliers must also comply with all applicable data privacy and security laws and maintain appropriate safeguards to protect any personal or sensitive information accessed through their work with Bombolo Biscotti.

Record Keeping

Suppliers must maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records in line with all applicable laws and generally accepted accounting principles. This includes documentation related to employment practices, financial activities, product traceability, food safety, worker safety, and any records required by law or requested by Bombolo Biscotti.

Records must be kept in an accessible, understandable format and retained according to local regulatory requirements. Upon request, suppliers must make these records available to Bombolo Biscotti or its authorized representatives for review.

Compliance Verification

Suppliers must regularly review their own operations, as well as those of their partners, subcontractors, and raw-material suppliers, to ensure full compliance with this Supplier Code.

Bombolo Biscotti reserves the right to verify compliance through assessments such as self-evaluations and reviews of records and business practices.

Suppliers must provide Bombolo Biscotti and its representatives with access to all relevant records needed to monitor compliance.
